Joy Smith - Harp

Joy is a prize winning harpist,performing regularly as a soloist, chamber and orchestral musician throughout the United Kingdom and abroad. She is one of the most highly respected harpists on the circuit today and her performance brings a special touch to any event.

Joy has played at such diverse occasions as the Proms at the Royal Albert Hall, a harp recital for HM the Queen, Baroque opera at Covent Garden and at the Glastonbury Rock Festival with her electric harp. She has had her own jazz harp residency at London's Cafe de Paris and has made numerous appearances on television (TOTP, MTV etc) and radio. This versatility means she can tailor her repertoire perfectly for each individual occasion, from the intimacy of a small ceremony to filling a stadium. Joy performs on 7 different harps from a classic golden concert grand to medieval, baroque and ultra modern electric harps.

She has had huge experience as a wedding harpist and is always happy to give advice on music for ceremonies. She also enjoys performing at corporate events of all sizes and has amplification for very large functions. Whether you wish to have subtle background music or a dynamic focus point to your event, Joy's versatility and experience will create the perfect ambience.
